Since I was a child, I have always loved the "Transformers" and recently, I revisited the entire show on DVD. While the show does let its age known with cheesy '80s cliches, it still held up for me and not just because of the nostagia.

That being said, I do have an overall issue with people who grow up and become bitter over new incarnations of their childhood cartoons. In reality, these things are made for little kids and not grown-ups, and people shouldn't really be bitter that things are changed to enthrall a new generation of children. The live action "Tranformers" movies aren't bad because they changed so many things from the original. They are bad because Michael Bay directed them.
